Daimler has released today the first images and information on the near production ready Mercedes BlueZERO E-CELL PLUS. The Mercedes BlueZERO E-CELL PLUS is powered by an electric motor, suitable for city driving, and a three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which increases the range of the car for country side trips. The Mercedes BlueZERO E-CELL PLUS is able to run for up to 600 km, of which 100 km can be driven in electric mode only.
The Mercedes BlueZERO E-CELL PLUS is equipped with an electric motor which develops 100 kW/136 hp and 320 Nm of torque that offers a maximum speed of 150 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of under 11.5 seconds. The combustion engine of the Mercedes BlueZERO E-CELL PLUS is a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbo that develops an extra 50 kW at 3500 rpm.
