Europe and Canada have electric and diesel powered Smart's. For instance, the diesel Smart Fortwo will be the cleanest conventional-engined car you can buy from February 2009 in Europe. All they will sell us is the most basic gasoline version. I guess they don't think we're SMART enough! Canada, SURE! Europe, SURE! USA, NO WAY! Boo!
